According to Amazon's data, the past year has seen a remarkable surge in the number of products sold by Chinese sellers on Amazon's global platforms, boasting a growth rate of over 20%. Furthermore, in the last two years, the number of Chinese sellers reaching sales of over $1 million has increased by nearly 55%, while those surpassing $10 million saw an impressive growth of about 60%.

Underlining its commitment to innovation, Amazon aims to refine the global cross-border e-commerce experience further by 2025 through a focused approach in three key areas; these include supply chain solutions, AI-driven enhancements, and the elevation of seller experiences, alongside a commitment to improving product quality and brand establishment

This strategic focus promises to boost efficiency and quality across supply chains, operations, product selection, and brand building for sellers.

As part of its supply chain service expansion, Amazon has announced its groundbreaking Supply Chain Smart Management Service aimed at Chinese sellersIn addition to this, Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) is keen to broaden its international transportation network by 2025, introducing new routes that incorporate connections between Japan and China, as well as routes from Southeast Asia, with Vietnam as a key point of departureNotable new features include the AI-driven communication tool ConnectPro, smart schedule forecasting, and automated customs classificationThe Amazon SEND program is also pivotal, supporting transportation lines from China to destinations such as the United States, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Australia.

As part of its ongoing efforts to empower sellers, Amazon is introducing the beta version of Amazon Seller Assistant Amelia, which will soon support Chinese language and be made available for testing to a select group of Chinese sellers.

Looking ahead, Amazon has outlined its strategic roadmap for 2025, which includes expanding its reach to new customer segments, exploring B2B opportunities, and enhancing its global site deployment to foster new growth avenues for sellers

A pivotal component of this outreach involves “Amazon Haul,” a novel shopping experience introduced on the Amazon shopping app and mobile website, designed to cater to consumers looking for budget-friendly optionsThis innovative platform exclusively features items priced at $20 or below, with most products under $10 spanning categories such as fashion, home, lifestyle, and electronics, typically delivered within 1-2 weeks.

With the ongoing shift towards online corporate procurement, Amazon Business has rapidly emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments within Amazon globallyIncreasing numbers of Chinese sellers are strategically embracing both B2C and B2B opportunitiesOver the past three years, the count of Chinese sellers operating in both markets has nearly doubled.

During the summit, Amazon also declared its plans to launch its Ireland site for Chinese sellers by 2025, marking Amazon’s tenth European site open to Chinese sellers

With 20 years of investment exceeding €22 billion in Ireland, this new site will grant Chinese sellers the opportunity to operate across 20 international platforms within the Amazon ecosystem.

Amazon's statistics reveal that sales from its sellers have achieved double-digit growth in almost 70% of China's provinces, with nearly ten provinces recording growth rates exceeding 20%. To bolster the local support framework, Amazon Global Store plans to enhance its localized services and innovation capabilities by 2025 with the introduction of a “Three by Three” system, designed to comprehensively assist more businesses in navigating the quality-driven Overseas Expansion journey successfully.

The upgrade of Amazon Global Store's office in Nanjing symbolizes this commitment to local empowermentBy broadening its regional service capabilities, Amazon is poised to push forward the “Industrial Belt Accelerator” project and upgrade its service network across Amazon Service Provider Network (SPN). As part of this initiative, the Amazon Global Store will actively promote the “Industrial Belt Accelerator” project, aiming to cover over 150 high-quality industrial belts in China and support thousands of factories and brands in establishing a presence on Amazon by 2027.
